Sincera Talent Partners is hiring a Quality Inspector on behalf of our client, a leading precision manufacturer serving highly regulated industries. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a company known for its commitment to quality, growth, and employee development.
About the Role:
The Quality Inspector will support a high-mix manufacturing floor by conducting in-process, final, and First Article Inspections (FAIs), ensuring conformance to both internal quality systems and AS9100 standards. This role is hands-on and requires someone who can move comfortably between documentation and the shop floor, making thoughtful and accurate judgments on component quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections throughout production, using tools like calipers,
- micrometers, height gauges, and other precision instruments
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) in compliance with AS9102 standards
- Review blueprints and engineering drawings to identify key inspection criteria
- Accurately complete inspection documentation and maintain quality records for traceability
- Support root cause investigations and collaborate with production and engineering teams to address non-conformances.
- Ensure proper care and calibration of inspection tools and equipment
- Adhere to company safety practices while promoting a culture of quality and accountability
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: 2+ years in a quality inspection or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment; aerospace industry exposure is preferred
- Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with AS9100 and experience completing FAIs per AS9102
- Technical Skill: Confident with hand measuring tools and capable of performing detailed inspections without close supervision
- Blueprint & GD&T Fluency: Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerancing, and GD&T
- Communication: Clear, professional communication—able to provide objective feedback and collaborate cross-functionally
- Detail Orientation: Precision matters—must be meticulous when it comes to documentation and recordkeeping
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and move throughout the production floor for extended periods
- Regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds; occasionally up to 50–75 pounds with assistance
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for precision inspections
